Q: How do the evolving macroeconomic and industry dynamics shape our growth outlook, and how are we positioned to capture the opportunities arising from India's growth trajectory?

India continues to stand out as one of the world’s fastestgrowing major economies, supported by sustained public investment, expanding manufacturing capabilities, accelerating digital adoption, and a strong focus on infrastructure development. While global challenges such as geopolitical uncertainties, foreign exchange volatility, and fluctuating commodity prices continue to influence the business environment, the long-term growth fundamentals of the Indian economy remain robust.

Several structural trends are creating significant opportunities across our key markets. The ongoing energy transition is driving investments in grid modernisation, renewable energy integration, battery energy storage systems, and electrification. Simultaneously, rapid advancements in AI, digitalisation, and data infrastructure are strengthening the demand for intelligent, connected, and energy-efficient solutions. In transportation, the expansion of rail networks, high-speed corridors, electric mobility, and urban infrastructure is creating new avenues for growth. Additionally, the Government’s strong push towards manufacturing through production-linked incentives, localisation initiatives, and industrial corridor development is consistently cementing India’s position as a global manufacturing hub.

Our growth strategy is closely aligned with these emerging opportunities. As an energy technology partner, we are well-positioned to support customers across energy, infrastructure, transportation, industrial, and digital ecosystems through our diverse portfolio of localised, India-focused solutions, strong manufacturing capabilities, extensive market presence, and a growing suite of digital solutions. Our continued investments in innovation, technology, localisation, and capacity enhancement strengthen our ability to address evolving market requirements, while enabling us to respond with greater speed and relevance to the needs of the Indian market.

Q: What key factors drove our revenue growth, strong order momentum, and overall financial performance during FY26?

FY26 was marked by strong business momentum and record revenues, reflecting the resilience of our business model and the effective execution of our growth strategy. Sales increased by 9.6% to ₹2,891 Crores from ₹2,637 Crores in FY25, supported by healthy demand across power infrastructure, transportation, manufacturing, energy transition, and digital infrastructure segments. Order inflows grew by a robust 27.4% to ₹3,430 Crores, resulting in a closing order backlog of ₹1,911 Crores, up 50.1% year-on-year, providing strong visibility and a solid foundation for future growth.

While revenue performance remained strong, profitability was moderated by elevated input costs, particularly in key commodities such as copper, aluminium, and steel, alongside the impact of ₹31.8 Crores from exceptional items year-on-year. EBITDA stood at ₹389 Crores in FY26 compared to ₹407 Crores in FY25, while Profit Before Tax (PBT) and Profit After Tax (PAT) were ₹292 Crores and ₹213 Crores, respectively. Despite these headwinds, our disciplined approach to project selection, operational excellence, supply chain resilience, and customer-centric execution enabled us to deliver a resilient performance. These efforts, coupled with sustained investments in technology, innovation, and emerging growth segments, have further fortified our competitive position and enhanced our readiness to capitalise on future opportunities.

Q: How have our engineering excellence, technology capabilities, and execution strengths translated into leadership across key segments and significant project wins?

Our ability to deliver integrated, reliable, and future-ready solutions has strengthened our position as a trusted partner in some of the country’s most critical infrastructure and industrial projects.

During FY 25-26, these strengths translated into several significant project wins across both established and high growth emerging sectors. We bolstered our presence in data centres and semiconductors industry, secured major orders in metro rail and transportation electrification, expanded our footprint in utilities and power distribution, and deepened our engagement with leading players in metals, renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing. Our differentiated offerings, including digital substations, intelligent transformers, smart RMUs, substation automation systems, EcoStruxure enabled solutions, and connected asset management platforms, equipped us to address increasingly complex customer requirements while improving reliability, efficiency, sustainability, and operational visibility.

We also achieved several important firsts during the year, including breakthrough wins in semiconductor manufacturing, digital power management, smart utility infrastructure, defence applications, and sustainable SF6-free technologies. These accomplishments reflect our ability to convert innovation into scalable customer solutions, strengthen our installed base, and create long-term growth opportunities.

Q: How are our new product introductions and technology innovations strengthening our growth prospects and competitive differentiation?

We are continuously expanding our portfolio with several advanced solutions designed to support the growing demand for intelligent, connected, and sustainable energy infrastructure.

Among the key introductions is the launch of our next generation Trihal dry-type transformers, which combine high safety standards, operational reliability, and environmental performance, making them particularly well-suited for applications such as data centres, metros, commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, and critical infrastructure. We also introduced One Digital Grid, an AI-enabled grid management platform that helps utilities enhance network visibility, improve asset utilisation, optimise maintenance planning, and fortify grid reliability through advanced analytics and intelligent decision-making.

In addition, we strengthened our presence in the rapidly growing energy storage market through integrated Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions that combine power distribution, automation, software, and energy management capabilities. These offerings complement our broader portfolio of electrification, automation, and digital solutions, helping customers to accelerate their sustainability and operational efficiency objectives.

Q: What are the strategic pillars of SEIL's next phase of growth, and how will they support the Company's growth ambitions?

The global transition towards electrification, automation and digitalisation is fundamentally reshaping industries, customer expectations and business models. To remain at the forefront of this transformation, our strategy is anchored on three complementary pillars: Technology Leadership, Customer Differentiation and Operational Excellence.

Technology Leadership reflects our commitment to continuous innovation across electrification, automation, software and digital technologies. We continue to invest in advanced solutions that help customers improve efficiency, resilience, sustainability and productivity while strengthening our leadership in the markets we serve.

Customer Differentiation focuses on delivering greater value through deep customer understanding, industry expertise and a comprehensive portfolio of integrated solutions and services. By staying close to our customers and anticipating their evolving needs, we create tailored offerings that elevate customer experience and build long-term partnerships. Operational Excellence ensures that we execute with speed, agility and discipline across our value chain. Through digitalisation, process optimisation, quality enhancement and continuous improvement, we strengthen productivity, improve responsiveness and create a more resilient organisation capable of sustaining profitable growth.

Supporting these three pillars is our foundation of being a People & Sustainability-centric company. Our people drive innovation and execution, while sustainability remains embedded in every aspect of our strategy, from product design and operations to customer solutions.

Q: What is our roadmap for sustaining growth, enhancing competitiveness, and delivering long-term stakeholder value?

Our focus remains on building a stronger, more agile, and future-ready organisation. To support future growth and stay aligned with market demands, our Company is undertaking significant capacity expansions at its Vadodara and Kolkata plants. We will continue to enhance execution excellence, operational efficiency, supply chain resilience, and manufacturing competitiveness while deepening customer partnerships and expanding our presence across strategic growth segments. Backed by a strong order backlog, disciplined capital allocation, and a robust governance framework, we are well-positioned to deliver sustainable growth and long-term stakeholder value.
